Live a unique running experience along one of Sicily's most captivating stretches of coastline.

The Sigel Marsala Marathon kicks off from Piazza della Vittoria, dominated by the imposing Porta Nuova, before winding along the Lungomare Tirreno to reach the striking Stagnone Lagoon, one of the most spectacular and evocative landscapes in Sicily. Here, amid sparkling salt pans, ancient windmills, pink flamingos, and unforgettable sunsets, the race turns into a journey through unique nature, where every step offers breathtaking views and unforgettable emotions.

The route continues along the Lungomare Mediterraneo, crossing the historic area of Marsala's wineries and passing by some of the most important landmarks of the city's winemaking tradition. Among these are Baglio Anselmi, now home to the Regional Archaeological Museum—where the ancient Punic Ship is preserved—and the historic Cantine Florio, a symbol of Italian winemaking excellence and Marsala's viticultural heritage.

The race continues alongside golden beaches and crystal-clear waters until it reaches the borders of the municipality of Petrosino, before heading back towards Marsala.

The return route leads participants into the heart of the city, through the historic center and past some of its most iconic landmarks: Palazzo VII Aprile, the Marsala Cathedral, and the majestic Porta Garibaldi, all witnesses to a millennia-old history that accompanies every athlete right to the finish line.

Running in Marsala means living an experience that goes far beyond sports. It means journeying through landscapes, history, culture, and traditions along a route that perfectly blends the charm of the sea with the beauty of the region.
